About the Real BMW M3 E46

The BMW M3 E46 is the second-generation M3, built by BMW M GmbH in Regensburg, Germany from September 2000 until August 2006. The factory line offered coupe and convertible body styles only — no sedan variant was ever sold under the M3 nameplate. Power came from the S54B32 inline-six, a naturally aspirated 3.2-litre engine rated at 343 PS (252 kW) at 7,900 rpm, with an 8,000 rpm redline and individual throttle bodies. Total production reached 85,766 cars across both body styles, cementing the E46 M3's status as one of the most celebrated drivers' cars of the 2000s.
