About the Real Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII was produced from January 2001 to January 2003 as part of Mitsubishi's seventh-generation rally homologation programme. Built on the CT9A chassis at the brand's Mizushima plant in Japan, the Evo VII paired a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4G63T inline-four with the Active Centre Differential and Mitsubishi's signature symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. International audiences met the model through 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003, when Mitsubishi Japan donated four Evo VIIs to the production — one of which was finished in Brian O'Conner's now-iconic Candy Lime Green and recently fetched record prices at auction. The Evo VII paved the way for the US-market Evo VIII that followed in 2003.
