About the Real Peugeot 206

The Peugeot 206 is a supermini (B-segment hatchback) produced by the French automaker Peugeot from 1998, and it became one of the best-selling cars in the company's history. In Brazil, the 206 was assembled locally at Peugeot's Porto Real plant in Rio de Janeiro state, which began operations in 2001 — making the Brazilian 206 a locally-produced car rather than a European import. Brazilian buyers got the 206 in three- and five-door hatchback bodies as well as the 206 SW estate and the later 206 sedan, with flex-fuel petrol engines ranging from the economical 1.0 16V up to the 1.6. Praised for its sharp styling penned under Pininfarina influence, nimble handling and characterful design, the 206 developed a devoted following and remains a nostalgic favourite among Brazilian drivers. It was eventually succeeded by the 207, which was itself a heavily revised evolution of the same platform. This mod recreates the much-loved 2-door version with an Urbano and a sportier trim.
