The Dodge RAM 1500 TRX is the off-road performance flagship of the fifth-generation (DT) RAM 1500 lineup — Stellantis's direct answer to the Ford F-150 Raptor. Built on the long-wheelbase Crew Cab body, the TRX wraps a custom widened track, Bilstein adaptive dampers, beadlock-capable wheels and Goodyear Wrangler Territory tyres around the 6.2-litre supercharged Hellcat HEMI V8 — the same engine family that powers the Charger and Challenger Hellcat sedans, now rated at 702 horsepower. This Proton Bus Simulator mod brings the TRX to the PBS car catalogue with four passenger doors, automatic transmission and the recognisable hood-bulge intake scoop.

About the Real Dodge RAM 1500 TRX

The RAM 1500 TRX is the off-road performance flagship of the fifth-generation (DT) RAM 1500 pickup, produced by Stellantis at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant in Michigan from 2021 to 2024. It was Stellantis's direct answer to the long-running Ford F-150 Raptor and re-used the 6.2-litre supercharged Hellcat HEMI V8 — the same engine family that powers the Charger and Challenger Hellcat sedans — detuned to 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque for pickup duty. Underneath the standard DT RAM body sits a custom widened track, Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, a 305/70R18 Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tyre on optional beadlock-capable wheels and a unique five-link rear suspension tuned for high-speed desert use. Visual differentiators include a hood-bulge intake scoop, fender flares, an off-road skid-plate package and a Crew Cab-only body. Production ended in 2024 as part of Stellantis's transition toward the inline-six Hurricane powertrain family; the TRX badge has not yet returned in the post-2024 RAM lineup, so the original 2021-2024 supercharged-V8 TRX is currently a closed chapter.
