The Jeep Renegade is the compact SUV that put Jeep on the map of the Brazilian market, and the 2017 model captured by this mod is the pre-facelift first-generation (BU) Renegade as built locally at the FCA Goiana plant in Pernambuco. The Renegade was the first Jeep designed for global B-segment SUV competition, sharing its platform with the Fiat 500X, and it became a runaway success in Brazil thanks to local production, the rugged boxy styling and the trademark round-headlight-and-seven-slot-grille Jeep face. About the Real Jeep Renegade

The Jeep Renegade (BU) is the first-generation subcompact crossover SUV that Jeep launched in 2014 — the smallest Jeep and the first designed specifically for the global B-segment SUV market. It shares the Fiat Small Wide 4×4 platform with the Fiat 500X, both developed under Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and was the brand's entry point into markets where the larger Compass and Cherokee were too big. For Brazil, the Renegade holds special significance: it was the launch product of FCA's brand-new Goiana plant in Pernambuco, which opened in 2015 specifically to build the Renegade and the Fiat Toro for the Latin American market — making the Brazilian Renegade a locally-produced car rather than an import. Brazilian Renegades ran the 1.8-litre E.torQ flexfuel four-cylinder (petrol) and the 2.0-litre Multijet turbodiesel with optional four-wheel drive, paired with manual or automatic gearboxes. The boxy upright styling, round headlights, seven-slot grille and "X"-motif taillights (a nod to military-jerrycan design heritage) gave the Renegade a distinctive rugged identity in a segment otherwise full of soft rounded crossovers. A facelift arrived in 2018 with revised lighting and the new Stellantis-era engine options.
