About the Real Volkswagen SP2

The Volkswagen SP2 is a sporty two-door coupe built by Volkswagen do Brasil from 1972 to 1976. Riding on the Brasília / Type 3 floorpan with an air-cooled rear-mounted flat-four, it was celebrated for its elegant long-nose styling but held back by a modest 1.7-litre engine. Only around 10,000 were made, and its rarity and timeless beauty have made it one of the most collectible Brazilian classics of all.
